Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Mahesh Kumar Goud has firmly rejected reports that Telangana Jagruti president and former BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha may join the Congress party. He responded to the ongoing campaign on the issue and said there was no possibility of Kavitha being included in the Congress. He also made strong remarks on the political future of the BRS in the state.

Speaking in a chat with the media, Mahesh Kumar Goud said the BRS party in Telangana has no future except the past. Meanwhile, he referred to Kavitha’s allegations about corruption in KCR’s family. He said there was no answer from the BRS leadership on these allegations. Therefore, he said people are understanding that the corruption of KCR’s family is real through Kavitha’s own words. He added that people are not in a position to support the BRS anymore. He also said the people of Telangana will not accept corruption and irregularities.

Mahesh Kumar Goud then spoke about the BJP’s role in the state. He said there is no situation to trust the BJP in Telangana. He added that religious politics does not work here. Meanwhile, he said the BJP is not in a position to exert influence in the state. He questioned how many times the BJP can get support using Hindu sentiment. He said the BJP is trying to gain benefits by dragging gods into politics and said this is not a good method. He questioned what relationship Ram has with the BJP. He said they follow Hindu customs but ask for votes with Hindu sentiment.

Later, the PCC chief clarified that there is no gap between the ministers and the Chief Minister. He said the Chief Minister is in charge of other ministers’ departments and that ministers have complete freedom. He also said the cabinet meeting is being held in Medaram for decentralization. He added that holding a cabinet meeting outside Hyderabad for the first time is a good development.

Mahesh Kumar Goud said the welfare schemes implemented by the present government are not seen in any other state. He said the people’s government will rule based on public needs. He also said there will be no rebels in municipal elections and that the word “I…” has no value in the Congress party. He said the BRS divided districts in an unscientific way.

He added that the Chief Minister now wants to form a committee to make scientific changes. He clarified that there is no idea of removing districts. He said action will be taken if evidence of corruption in Bhu Bharati is provided. He also said action will be taken against those spreading false propaganda and questioned how many jobs were created during ten years of BRS rule.
