No Ration and Pension for Unvaccinated People: Srinivasa Rao
Telangana state directorate of public health, Dr G Srinivas Rao on Tuesday said that no ration and pension will be provided for the people who have not taken the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
“This will be come into effect from November 1,” he added.
The decision has been taken in the wake of government’s directions to complete 100 per cent vaccination by the end of December.
Earlier, the state chief secretary Somesh Kumar also said that Telangana will achieve 100 per cent vaccination of population above 18 years in next one month.
The target will be achieved if 3 to 4 lakh people are vaccinated every day.
To expedite the vaccination in the state, the government also launched a mega vaccination centre that would provide vaccine from 7 am to 11 pm every day.
