Nominations Reach to 20 as 14 more filed in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov 4 (Maxim News): On the second day of the Telangana State legislative assembly elections, Hyderabad District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose reported a total of 14 nominations filed, bringing the cumulative count to 20.

Notable submissions included:

  • Mutyala Rajesh from the Dharma Samaj Party for the Musheerabad constituency
  • Syed Bilal as an independent candidate for Malakpet constituency
  • Algola Ramesh representing the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP)
  • Devaruppala Srikanth as an independent candidate for the Amberpet constituency
  • Mohammad Majeed from the Aam Aadmi Party for Khairatabad constituency
  • Sudireddy Shiva Shankar Reddy as an independent candidate for Jubilee Hills constituency
  • Santosh Kumar from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) for Nampally constituency
  • T. Rajasingh from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Goshamahal constituency

In the Yakatpura constituency, two nominations were filed: one by independent candidate Mohammad Akram Ali Khan and the other by independent candidate A. Sarita. Jajula Bhaskar from the Shramjeevi Party submitted his nomination in the Secunderabad Cantonment constituency.

Nominations

On the first day of nominations, SUCI (Communist) Party candidate Kurakula Jyoti and Shabad Ramesh filed their nominations as independent candidates in the Khairatabad Assembly Constituency.

In the Goshamahal constituency, two nominations were filed, one by Socialist Party candidate BV Ramesh Babu and the other by Congress Party candidate Mogili Sunita. Mohammad Akram Ali Khan presented himself as an independent candidate in the Malakpet constituency, while Sudarshan Andarapu, representing the Shiv Sena (UBT) party, submitted his nomination for the Amberpet constituency.

It is worth noting that on the second day, constituencies such as Secunderabad, Karwan, Bahadurpura, Sanat Nagar, Chandrayanagutta, and Charminar did not file any nominations.

Following the Election Commission’s notification, the nomination process commenced on November 3, 2023, and candidates are required to file their nominations between 11 am and 3 pm at the offices of the respective Returning Officers until November 10, 2023. (Maxim News).
