Northeast Monsoon | Hyderabad, Oct 13: As the southwest monsoon continues its withdrawal, changing weather conditions associated with the approaching northeast monsoon are expected to bring another spell of rainfall to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
According to forecasts shared by Telangana Weatherman, rainfall activity is likely to increase across the Telugu states in the coming days, with coastal Andhra Pradesh expected to experience the first significant spell.
Weather conditions over the Bay of Bengal, along with moisture-laden winds, could contribute to increased rainfall activity in several districts.
Northeast Monsoon | Heavy Rainfall Likely in Coastal Andhra Pradesh From October 15
Coastal Andhra Pradesh is expected to witness widespread rainfall beginning October 15, with moderate to heavy showers possible in several areas.
Both north and south coastal districts could experience increased rainfall as atmospheric conditions become favourable for rain-bearing cloud formation.
Weather experts indicate that changing wind patterns and moisture availability over the Bay of Bengal may support the development of rain-bearing weather systems.
Farmers in coastal districts have been advised to monitor weather forecasts and take necessary precautions while carrying out agricultural activities.

Residents of low-lying areas are also encouraged to remain alert to possible waterlogging during intense rainfall.
Telangana May Receive Rainfall From October 17.
Meanwhile, Telangana is expected to witness a gradual increase in rainfall activity from October 17.
Weather forecasts suggest that several districts, particularly in southern, eastern and central Telangana, could experience scattered light to moderate showers.
Although widespread heavy rainfall has not been specifically forecast for Telangana, isolated areas may receive relatively intense spells depending on local atmospheric conditions.
The expected rainfall could provide relief from daytime temperatures while bringing noticeable changes to the prevailing weather.
Dry Weather and Cooler Nights Until October 17
Until the anticipated change in weather conditions, much of Telangana is likely to experience predominantly dry weather.
Slightly cooler winds during nighttime hours may continue across several districts as seasonal atmospheric conditions change.
From October 17 onward, increased cloud cover could lead to a gradual reduction in daytime temperatures.
Weather experts expect these changes to become more noticeable as moisture-bearing winds influence the region.
Farmers Advised to Take Precautions
The anticipated rainfall is particularly important for farmers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where agricultural activities may be affected by sudden changes in weather.
Farmers have been advised to monitor local forecasts before harvesting, drying or transporting agricultural produce.
Those cultivating crops vulnerable to excess moisture should take appropriate precautions to minimise possible losses.
Coastal residents and fishermen should also monitor official weather advisories, particularly if stronger winds or adverse sea conditions develop.
Northeast Monsoon Transition Underway
The northeast monsoon generally becomes established over southeastern India during October, following the withdrawal of the southwest
monsoon.
Its rainfall influence is typically strongest over Tamil Nadu and adjoining southeastern coastal areas, although weather systems over the Bay of Bengal can also bring rain to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The expected rainfall from October 15 in coastal Andhra Pradesh and October 17 in Telangana reflects the possibility of changing seasonal weather patterns.
However, the intensity, distribution and timing of rainfall will depend on evolving atmospheric conditions.
Residents are advised to follow updates from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and local weather authorities for official district-wise forecasts and warnings.
