Notification Issued Lifting President Rule In J&K
Delhi/Hyderabad, Oct 14 (Maxim News): The Union Home Ministry has issued a gazette notification lifting the President’s Rule in Jammu and Kashmir. This paved the way for the formation of a new government in the state.

According to President Draupadi Murmu‘s orders using the powers conferred by Section 73 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019, Articles 239 and 239A of the Constitution of India were repealed on October 31, 2019. After six years, the President’s rule was abolished in Jammu and Kashmir.
Recently, the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections were held and the National Conference and Congress alliance won. However, National Conference party leader Omar Abdullah will take oath as the Chief Minister on October 16. (Maxim News)
