NSUI Holds Protest Before OU VC Chamber

Hyderabad, May 1 (Maxim News): Expressing anger over the decision of OU Vice Chancellor Professor Ravinder Yadav denying permission to hold their party leader Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting on the university premises, the activists of NSUI today held a protest in front of the VC’s chamber. The protestors wore bangles and raised slogans against the VC.

Speaking on the occasion, NSUI State president Balmuri Venkat alleged that the VC denied permission for their meeting under pressure from Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and added that the latter was scared that the Congress party would come into power after the next Assembly elections.

Terming the act of the TRS government as cowardice, the activists burnt a portrait of Chief Minister KCR on the occasion. Later, the police arrested Venkat and other activists. (Maxim News)
