NVS Reddy Receives Civil Service Excellence Award

NVS Reddy | Hyderabad, April 23 (Maxim News): On the occasion of Civil Service Day celebrations were organized by the 21st Century IAS Academy in Hyderabad on Sunday. HMRL MD, NVS Reddy was felicitated with the Civil Service Excellence Award.

The award was presented to him by former Vice President Mr. M Venkaiah Naidu for the innovations and the outstanding contribution made by NVS Reddy in the various assignments held by him in his four decades of public service.

Speaking on this occasion, NVS Reddy explained the innumerable hurdles he faced in building the world’s largest metro rail project in PPP mode in the form of agitations, court cases, Goebbels campaign by vested interests against the project, delays in granting permissions by different government agencies, etc. He informed them that his effigy was burnt many times by different religious organizations and project opponents, but he never backtracked from his goals and made the written-off project a reality.

NVS Reddy advised the young civil service aspirants to aim high and achieve their targets with hard work, sincerity, self-confidence, and dogged perseverance. Civil service is a rare opportunity for anyone to serve the nation, he pointed out.

The other awardees included retired IAS officer M Gopalakrishnan and some of the alumni of the Academy who got into civil services. (Maxim News)
