Hyderabad, April 4 (Maxim News): The newly constituted TPCC OBC Cell today met at Gandhi Bhavan. It was chaired by chairman of the wing Dr Katti Venkataswamy. AICC State incharge RC Kuntia was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Katti Venkataswamy said the Congress party had always thought of the weaker and marginal sections of the society. He said they had given due recognition to the leaders from these communities in the government and the party posts. He said the party had given importance to OBC leaders in the party in different government posts after the formation of the party’s governments in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
Dr Katti Venkataswamy said the OBC leaders would get justice only after formation of Congress-led government at the Centre. He exhorted the OBCs in the State to vote for the Congress party in the upcoming parliamentary elections. He called upon the OBCs to work hard for protection of the Constitution and vote for the Congress party.
Former MP V Hanumanth Rao said it was the Congress party that provided reservations to the OBCs at the national level. (Maxim News)
