In a fire exchange at Malkangiri district near Andhra – Odisha border maoist ACM Kishore reportedly killed. Security forces in the Kataf area of Malkangiri district were reportedly confronted by Maoist Naxals.
More details are yet to be known. According to police, the Maoists have been on the rise along the Telangana-Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha for some time.
It is also evident that several politicians have been targeted and killed by the Maoists in parts of Chhattisgarh and Telangana. With that, the security forces increased cumbing operations on the border of the two Telugu states. As part of that, it appears that the security forces launched by cumbing in the AOB have started firing after the Maoists came across them.
