Operation Musi In Full Swing: 25 Special Teams Enters Field

As part of this, the survey is going on for the identification of Musi residents. Officials started collecting details of the poor for rehabilitation. The government has decided to demolish the houses only after rehabilitation. The government has already decided to provide double-bedroom houses to deserving families. The government has taken steps to free Musi River from encroachment. Officials identified 2,166 houses in the closed river bed. However, the authorities found most of the encroachments within the Hyderabad district.
High Tension Among Musi Residents

When the officials entered the field to collect the details of the Musi victims, the residents were blocking it. On Thursday morning, 25 special survey teams reached the Musi River bed. Each team consists of a tehsildar and five officers. Officials identified a total of 2,166 houses in the river bed. The government is ready to pay compensation along with the double-bedroom houses for FTL structures. in the buffer zone. But in many areas, the officials who came for the survey are being blocked by the locals. This has become a challenge for the survey officials of Musi residents. Authorities are marking houses amid heavy police presence.

Musi Riverfront Development Corporation MD Dana Kishore said that a special operation has been designed to remove the encroachments. He spoke to the media about this on Wednesday. As part of the beautification of Musi, around 1,600 structures related to private individuals have been identified through the survey. It has been decided to remove these structures. However, Dana Kishore said that an activity has been created by the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation for this purpose.
CM Revanth Reddy Announces Double-Bedroom Houses
As per the instructions of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, it has been announced that double-bedroom houses will be granted to each and every resident and they will be rehabilitated. Dana Kishore said that the State government has earmarked around 15,000 double-bedroom houses for the resettlement of families living in the Musi river bed and buffer zone. Instructions have been issued to the concerned District Collectors to formulate guidelines for rehabilitation activities regarding the structures in the river bed. Dana Kishore revealed that the program of removal of these structures will start only after allocating and rehabilitating the double-bedroom houses. (Maxim News)
