The CDS told newly commissioned officers that they were entering the Indian Air Force (IAF) during a phase of deep transformation of the armed forces, integrated structures, joint operations, and national pursuit of Atma Nirbharta in defence, which are shaping the future of India’s military strength.

“Your journey ahead will be accordingly guided by JAI, the first word of Jai Hind, that’s victory. The J stands for jointness in fighting as one nation and one force, A-Atmanirbharta, manufacturing trusted platforms and systems not just for India but for the world, and I – innovation, which is daring to think ahead of the curve. These three pillars will shape the future of India’s combat power,” he said.
