Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday said that orders have been issued to waive crop loans up to Rs one lakh as promised during the elections. Delivering the Independence Day speech at Golconda Fort here, the Chief Minister said as per the promise made during the elections, investment support for agriculture financial assistance under Rythu Bandhu was enhanced from Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 per acre per year. Rythu Bima programme, the life insurance scheme for farmers in the State is unique in the country.
Chandrashekhar Rao also said as part of overall administrative reforms and improving delivery of government services to the people, the Government has already enacted new Panchayat Raj and Municipal Acts.
