Osmania Taksh 2023, A Three Day Festival from April 24

Osmania Taksh 2023 | Hyderabad, April 23 (Maxim News): The three-day fest, Osmania Taksh 2023 will take off on April 24 at 6:30 am with a 2K WALK, from the University College of Arts & Social Sciences to NCC Gate.

Buoyed by the success of the first edition last year, the university has planned the event which includes Open Day and foundation day.

On day 2, April 25, the University, and its department’s Research centers will be open for the general public, educational institutions, and students to visit and gain insights into the functioning of the university.

The administration has issued directives to all Heads, Directors of Centres to showcase the unique features and accomplishments.

The main event is to be held on April 26 at Tagore Auditorium Chief Guest for this event is Wg Cdr Rakesh Sharma, AC (Retd), Research Cosmonaut, Guests of Honor for this event are Sri.B. Vinod Kumar, Vice-Chairman, Telangana State Planning Board, Govt of Telangana and Prof. E. Suresh Kumar, Commission Member, UGC, New Delhi & Vice-Chancellor, EFLU, Hyderabad.

The event will be Presided over by Prof. D. Ravinder, VC, OU. Prof. P. Laxminarayana, Registrar, OU & Prof. G. Mallesham, Dean, Development and UGC Affairs are coordinating the activities in the runup for the Foundations Day Celebrations at OU. Cultural events are planned on the same day between 3 pm to 6 pm at Tagore Auditorium, Sir. Siddula Ashok Teja, a Renowned Poet & Lyrist, would be the Chief Guest for Cultural Events.

Going down memory lane it was on the 26th of April 1917 the Founder of Osmania University, Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan the Seventh Nizam after whose name the University is established, issued a “Farman” or “Royal Charter” which brought Osmania University into existence. (Maxim News)
