Osmania University Is Not A Prohibited Place: Bhatti

Hyderabad, Aug.11 (Maxim News): Stating that Osmania University was not a prohibited place, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has said that not giving permission to AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi’s meeting at Osmania University was atrocious on the part of the Telangana state government. He wondered questioning that was it correct to impose prohibition on visiting Osmania University, which was centre for human resources change the direction of the society.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday along with senior leader and PAC chairman Dr J Geetha Reddy and AICC secretary Madhu Yashki Goud, Bhatti asked the state government to tell was correct to it to give such respect to the leader of the party accorded separate Telangana state. The Congress party was accorded Telangana state not for the sake of four people but for the sake of crores of people, he said. “It is not possible always to stop Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Osmania University. The government has to give permission following the aspirations of the students of the University”, he said. He warned that they will enter into Osmania University while removing iron fence if the government failed to change its attitude.

He said that Rahul Gandhi will pay tributes to Telangana martyrs at Gun Park. Rahul will infuse confidence among the women, settlers, minorities and students while learning their problems.

Madhu Yashki Goud alleged that the KCR government was running with 10 percent commission and 30 percent shares. The suppression was going on in KCR rule, he claimed and said that the government was making police to file cases against farmers when they asked for SRSP water for irrigation. The days were nearing to revolt against the KCR’s ‘Dorathanam’. The people would chase away KCR family from Telangana by burying the TRS party politically, he said. He alleged TRS has become a ‘B’ team of BJP and asked people and peoples unions to unite against the KCR’s anti-people rule.

Geetha Reddy alleged that KCR was ignoring the women and water downing welfare schemes meant to women. She asked KCR to tell whether no woman in the state was suitable for the minister post. KCR was obstructing the visit of Rahul Gandhi with fear, she said and asked KCR to allow Rahul Gandhi to visit Osmania University by changing his attitude at least now. She exuded confidence that the Congress party will come to power if the elections were held even in December. She said that the Congress party will not keep quiet if the centre gives Bison Polo Grounds to construct new Secretariat. (Maxim News)
