Over 20,000 Indians Killed By Pakistani Terrorists In Last 65 Years: India Fires At Pakistan At UN

Delhi/Hyderabad, May 24 (Maxim News) India has come under fire at the United Nations for promoting cross-border terrorism. Pakistan’s representative at the UN raised the issue of the termination of the Indus Waters Treaty. He said that India had unilaterally terminated the treaty. Water is the lifeblood of life. It is not a weapon of war, he said.

In this context, India’s Permanent Representatives to the United Nations and Ambassador Parvataneni Harish strong countered the comments made by the Pakistani representative.

It was only after the April 22 massacre in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that India clarified that it had terminated the Indus Waters Treaty. It accused Pakistan of spreading false propaganda against the termination of the Indus Waters Treaty. It was stated at the UN that the Indus Treaty will remain in force until Pakistan stops supporting cross-border terrorism.

He recalled that India signed the Indus Water Treaty in good faith 65 years ago and has always acted responsibly as an upper riverine state. But he criticized that Pakistan has violated the spirit of the treaty by instigating three wars and thousands of terrorist attacks against India over the past six and a half decades. He said that over 20,000 Indians have died in Pakistan-based terrorist attacks in the last four decades.

However, India has shown extraordinary tolerance and generosity, he said. He said that Pakistan-sponsored cross-border terrorists in India is threatening the lives of citizens, religious harmony and economic prosperity. He reminded that terrorists also attacked the Tulbul Navigation Project in Jammu and Kashmir in 2012.
