Pahalgam Terror Attack: Trump Calls Modi

Delhi/Hyderabad, April 23 (Maxim News): US President Donald Trump spoke to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the phone regarding the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and kashmir.  The Indian Ministry of External Affairs announced that Trump strongly condemned the terror attack.

The official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Jaiswal, informed about Trump’s call to the Prime Minister on social media. “U.S. President Trump spoke to Prime Minister Modi over the phone. 

Trump expressed his condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack.  Jaiswal said that Trump strongly condemned the terrorist attack.  Trump said that he will fully support bringing the perpetrators of this heinous act to justice.  Randhir Jaiswal said in an interview that America and India will fight together in the fight against terrorism. 

Prime Minister Modi thanked Trump for his supportive call.  Modi said that India is determined to bring the perpetrators of this atrocity and their supporters to justice.  Earlier, Trump had posted on his social media about the same issue. He said that he was disturbed by the Kashmir terror incident. 

They said they are praying for the peace of the souls of the deceased and the speedy recovery of the injured.  They said they will have their full support for Prime Minister Modi and the people of India.  On the other hand, Prime Minister Modi, who had gone to Saudi Arabia for a two day visit, has cut short his visit.  He returned to India from Jeddah on Tuesday night. 

The terrorist opened fire at around 3 pm in the Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam, known as the Mini Switzerland of Anantnag district.  They surrounded the tourists and opened fire from close range.  26 people were killed in the incident, including two foreigners, officials said.  Manish Ranjan, an intelligence officer from Hyderabad, was also among the dead.  (Maxim News)
