Pak-Afghan Clashes: Taliban Publicly Display Pakistani Soldiers Uniforms
Delhi/Hyderabad, Oct 16 (Maxim News): The foreign minister of Afghanistan visited India for the first time after the Taliban took over the reins of power. This has restored relations between the two countries. However, Pakistan (Pak Afghan Clashes) has expressed its displeasure over this.
Angered by the Taliban’s approach to India, the Pakistani rulers have incited their army. Pakistani soldiers attacked Spin Boldak, a key border district between Afghanistan’s Kandahar province and Pakistan’s Balochistan region, on Tuesday midnight. Afghan rulers announced that 15 people were killed and more than 100 were injured.
In response, Taliban forces launched attacks on Pakistani soldiers. The military forces of both countries exchanged fire in Chaman district of Pakistan and Boldak district of Afghanistan. On the other hand, there were reports that Taliban forces, who had captured a battle tank used by the Pakistani army to attack their military bases in Spin Boldak, carried out a lightning attack on a Pakistani military outpost. On this occasion, media reports stated that Pakistani soldiers fled, some people were captured, and a large amount of weapons and food items were seized.
The Taliban army has recently confirmed that the news is true and that the Pakistani soldiers have fled due to their attack. Afghan soldiers publicly displayed the weapons, food items, Pakistani soldiers’ clothing and other equipment they had captured in Nangarhar province. They displayed the pants of Pakistani soldiers and shouted slogans against that country. These scenes were shared on social media by journalist Daud Junbish in Afghanistan. On this occasion, he wrote that the Taliban were displaying the pants seized from the outposts abandoned by the Pakistani army. They are currently going viral on social media.
Meanwhile, the Afghan people, who are angry with the Pakistani attacks on Kabul and Kandahar, have come out in support of the Taliban. The youth of Kandahar say that they too are ready to become Mujahideen and fight if necessary. A man named Mohibullah from Kandahar said that the Islamic Emirate (Taliban interim government) has taken a befitting revenge and that all the people are with the Taliban against Pakistan. Baitullah from Paktia said that they are grateful to the security forces for protecting their land and that they will always be by their side.
Temporary End To Clashes
The clashes between Afghanistan and Pakistan have temporarily ended. The two countries have decided to observe a ceasefire for 48 hours. With the latest clashes leading to tensions on the borders of the two countries, Pakistan has started efforts to initiate a dialogue process to improve the situation. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry announced that a temporary 48-hour ceasefire agreement has been reached.
The Pakistani government had earlier appealed to Qatar and Saudi Arabia to mediate after the escalating tensions between the once-allies Pakistan and Afghanistan, and after Afghanistan refused to allow Pakistani ministers to enter its country for talks. (Maxim News)
