Raghunandan Rao advised leaders of the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS to hold serious discussions in the Legislative Assembly. He said such debates should happen without personal attacks. He made these remarks during a meeting of key BJP constituency leaders. The meeting took place at the Patancheru IB Guest House in Sangareddy district. BJP MLC Anji Reddy and BJP district president Godavari also participated in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Raghunandan Rao strongly criticised both the ruling and opposition parties. He said that instead of discussing Palamuru and Krishna waters in the Assembly, leaders only cursed each other. He said it was wrong for BRS to curse Congress in the Assembly and for Congress to curse BRS. He stated that there was no sincere discussion on people’s issues. He also said BRS did nothing for Palamuru, which he described as a migrant district, during its ten year rule. He added that Congress had also done nothing during its two year rule.

Meanwhile, Raghunandan Rao said people believed CM Revanth Reddy would work for Palamuru as a child of the region. However, he said those people were left disappointed. He stated that under the rule of both BRS and Congress, losses continued. He said both parties lacked vision. He also explained that BJP has undertaken a nationwide programme on river linking with the aim of water for every hand and work for every hand. He alleged that Congress and BRS leaders in the state were only concerned about personal gains.

Later, he criticised presentations made in the Legislative Assembly. He said when a minister gives a power presentation, the opposition leader gives another presentation and confuses the people. He stated that apart from misleading the public, there was no difference between the past BRS government and the present Congress government on Krishna water distribution and Palamuru issues. He expressed anger that chief ministers of both parties cheated the people of Palamuru. He also found it strange that 20 MLAs were absent during the Assembly debate.
