PAN-IIT Hyderabad Summit 2026 under India AI Mission

PAN-IIT Alumni India will support the India AI Impact Summit 2026, a flagship global gathering to be hosted by the Government of India under the IndiaAI Mission in February 2026. PAN-IIT Chairman Prabhat Kumar announced this at a press conference held on Monday at Taj Deccan. He described it as the world’s biggest summit on the subject.

Meanwhile, addressing the media at Hotel Taj Deccan, Prabhat Kumar said PAN-IIT would actively strengthen India’s global leadership in artificial intelligence through strategic collaborations and knowledge platforms. He also announced that PAN-IIT will power Bharat Innovates, an international innovation showcase in Nice, France. The Government of India initiated the event to highlight India’s innovation, startup, deep-tech, and technology leadership to European stakeholders.

PAN-IIT Hyderabad Summit 2026 to bring 23 IITs together

Later, speaking in the presence of Ashok Kumar, General Secretary of PAN-IIT, Sudhakar Gande, Convener of the summit, and Prof Muralikrishna, Co-Chair, Prabhat Kumar announced key details of the PAN-IIT Hyderabad Summit 2026. The summit will be held on 8 March 2026 at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace. It will be the first PAN-IIT conference hosted in Hyderabad.

More than 600 delegates are expected to attend the day-long summit. In addition, PAN-IIT will organise a half-day pre-conference on 7 March 2026 at IIT Hyderabad. Therefore, the event will span two days of focused engagement.

Prabhat Kumar also announced that IIT Hyderabad has agreed to allot 680 sq ft of space for the PAN-IIT local chapter office. This step will further strengthen institutional collaboration between PAN-IIT and the host ecosystem.

The PAN-IIT Hyderabad Summit 2026 will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, researchers, technologists, and domain experts from all 23 IITs. The summit will focus on how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are reshaping policy frameworks, innovation ecosystems, industry practices, and strategic sectors critical to India’s future.

The agenda includes deliberations on Pharma and Healthcare Systems, Defence and Aerospace Technologies, Infrastructure and Urban Development, and Energy and Telecommunications. These discussions will explore technology-driven governance, public-sector innovation, sustainable infrastructure, energy transition, and scalable national solutions.

Prabhat Kumar said, “India stands at a critical juncture where technology, policy, and societal aspirations must align to drive inclusive and sustainable growth. The PAN-IIT Hyderabad Summit 2026 is envisioned as a national platform bringing together thought leaders from government, industry, academia, and the IIT alumni community to shape AI-led solutions for Bharat. PAN-IIT Alumni India represents alumni of all 23 IITs worldwide, with a global network of over five lakh alumni. Founded in 2002 and registered in 2006, it serves as an umbrella body for IIT alumni associations. Registrations for the PAN-IIT Hyderabad Summit 2026 are now open on the official PAN-IIT Alumni India website.
