Panic among the residents of AP after increasing Omicron cases
Prakasam, Dec. 26: Panic gripped among the residents of Andhra Pradesh after increasing Omicron variant cases of Covid-19.
According to the reports, a 48-year-old South Africa returnee tested positive for Coronavirus on 20th December and genome sequencing tested positive for Omicron. Another man from Ongole was also tested positive for the Omicron variant.
Sources said that he came from South Africa to Hyderabad on 16th December. Primary contacts of the infected persons tested negative for Covid-19. Officials are busy in contact tracing and alerted the people to take precautionary measures wearing mask and maintain social distance.
