Panjagutta Police Detain Mentally Challenged Man for Two-Wheeler Theft and Arson

Hyderabad, May 25 (Maxim News): The sleuths of Panjagutta Police, apprehended  Mohd Feroz Khan @ Pavan Kumar, aged 25 years, R/o M.S Maqtha, Opp Raj Bhavan Khairatabad, who has stolen two-wheelers and set fire to another two-wheeler.

On 22-05-2024, at about 4:30 PM, a two-wheeler which was parked in front of the Panjagutta Police Station compound wall, was set on fire. On the same day, another two-wheeler was stolen from the same place. Through CCTV footage we identified the person as Mohd Feroz Khan. Later, while he was moving within the limits of the Lake Police Station with the stolen two-wheeler in a suspicious manner and upon questioning, the accused gave incoherent answers. The Lake Police handed him over to the Panjagutta Police. Upon inquiry, Panjagutta Police discovered that this person by name Mohd Feroz Khan, @ Pavan was mentally unsound and had previously been treated at Erragadda Mental Hospital. 

 Further inquiry revealed that on the evening of 22-05-2024, he set fire to a two-wheeler and stole the vehicle bearing  which was parked in front of Panjagutta Police Station, while in a mentally impaired condition. It was also discovered that he had a history of mental illness and had been admitted to a hospital for treatment. The stolen two-wheeler  was recovered from the possession of Mohd. Feroz Khan @ Pavan. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court and admitted in Mental Hospital, Erragadda, Hyderabad. (Maxim News)
