Hyderabad, May 4 (Maxim News): The traffic department officials, who have focused on preventing minor driving in the city, are taking action against the minors who have committed this violation, as well as their parents (if they are vehicle owners) or vehicle owners.
The Traffic Police department officials, who are presenting the minors before the Juvenile Board, are taking the parents/vehicle owners to the general court. Before this, they are being given full counseling at the Traffic Training Institute (TTI), Hyderabad City Traffic Chief Joel Davis told.
The traffic police officials have been conducting special drives against minor driving since the 5th of last month. Joel Davis stated that 2,067 minors were caught driving in the inspections conducted till Saturday and cases have been registered against them. The police, who are taking possession of the vehicles, are bringing the minors along with the parents/vehicle owners to the TTI. After The counseling, charge sheets are prepared and the minor is presented before the juvenile justice Board and the parents/vehicle owner are presented in the relevant court.
While the judges impose punishments such as community service on the minors, the parents/vehicle owners are being fined heavily. Officials say that they can be sentenced to a maximum of three years in prison under the Motor vehicles Act. After this process is over, the RTA officials send the complete details of the minor along with the vehicle. Based on this, the department cancels the vehicle registration for a year.

Usually, a person who has completed 18 years of age can first get a learning license and then a permanent license.
However, the RTA officials are taking action against the minor who is caught driving in this way, and they are not allowed to get either of these until he turns 25. Keeping these developments in mind, Joel Davis requests that no one should give vehicles to minors. (Maxim News)
