Hyderabad, Oct. 22: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has ordered legal action against a fake WhatsApp channel operating under the name “Deputy CMO, Andhra Pradesh.” His office said the channel is unauthorised and is allegedly misusing the identity of the Deputy Chief Minister’s Office.
According to a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Minister’s Office on Thursday, the channel has been circulating misleading information and unrelated content. The office said an FIR was being initiated and strict legal action would be pursued against those responsible.
Public Warned Against Fake Deputy CMO Channel
The Deputy Chief Minister’s Office urged people not to trust, follow or circulate content published through the fake WhatsApp channel.
It advised the public to rely only on officially authorised social media accounts and the verified WhatsApp channel for authentic information and official updates.
The office also warned that misuse of a government office’s identity would not be tolerated and those responsible would be held accountable under the law.
Andhra Leaders Extend Birthday Wishes to Amit Shah
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan extended birthday greetings to Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah. He wished Shah good health, strength and a long life to continue serving the country.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also conveyed his birthday wishes, praising Shah’s leadership and efforts towards national security and unity.
State Minister for Human Resources Development and Information Technology Nara Lokesh also greeted Shah. He highlighted Shah’s efforts towards building a secure and developed India and expressed gratitude for his support to Andhra Pradesh.
