PD Act On The Ganja Smuggler

Warangal/Hyderabad, Aug 25 (Maxim News): Warangal Police Commissioner AV Ranganath has issued a PD Act order against a ganja smuggler who is involved in the illegal transportation of ganja.  

Chekka Kumara Swami of Pandukunta village of Mulugu district was handed over the PD Act order issued by the Commissioner of Police in the presence of Jailer at Charlapalli Jail in Hyderabad by Atmakuru Inspector Ravi Raju today. 

The accused, who received orders under the PD Act, used to buy ganja at a low price and sell it at a high price in Maharashtra and Hyderabad with the idea of making easy money.  On May 29 this year, the accused was arrested by the Atmakuru police while transporting 120 kg of cannabis worth 24 lakh rupees to Hyderabad in his car and taken to jail. 

Several cases have been registered against the accused at Gudur police station in Mulugu and Mahabubabad districts, while two cases have also been registered in Maharashtra.  The Police Commissioner has warned the ganja sellers that they will take strict action against the ganja sellers who are playing with the future of the youth by turning them into drug addicts, who are the key to the country’s development.  (Maxim News)
