Hyderabad, Sept.15 (Maxim News): Trying to push down protests by political parties, TRS Supremo and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said that the people can celebrate Telangana liberation day on September 17 as there is no restriction from the government, and there was no need for raising a controversy over it.
KCR said that there is no restriction to unfurl national flag on that day when democracy came into state from feudal rule. He said that the TRS unfurls Tricolour on our Telangana Bhavan since long time and continue to mark liberation day, he stated in the Legislative Assembly. today. He said that there is no need of confusion and protests by political parties.
KCR said that the then Union Home Minister Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel had named the Nizam as Raj Pramukh for ruling the state which was merged into Indian Union. He said that the people can celebrate the day and no restrictions imposed on that.
KCR further said that Telangana was really liberated on June 2, 2014, after 60 years of struggles and sacrifices by many. He also made it clear that the State remained peaceful since it’s formation and any attempts to disrupt peace and tranquility would be crushed with an iron hand. (Maxim News)
