PG Medical Student Killed, Three Seriously Injured in Karimnagar Road Accident
Karimnagar/Hyderabad, July 22 (Maxim News): In a tragic incident, a postgraduate medical student lost his life, and three others sustained serious injuries in a road accident near Jubli Nagar in Karimnagar rural mandal during the early hours of Tuesday.
According to police reports, the accident occurred around 2 a.m. when the car they were travelling in lost control and overturned after crashing into a roadside tree. All four occupants of the vehicle were students of the Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences, located in Karimnagar.
The deceased, identified as Rahul, a PG medical student, died on the spot due to the impact. The three injured students were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police personnel rushed to the scene after being alerted. The injured were rescued and taken to the hospital in critical condition. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the mishap. The body of the deceased was sent to the district headquarters hospital for post-mortem.
The tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over the medical college community, with students and faculty expressing shock and grief over the untimely death of their peer.
