Phone Tapping Case: Culprits Should Be Sent To Jail
- Phone tapping case remarks by MP Raghunandan Rao
- Phone tapping case linked comments during Gajwel campaign
Hyderabad: The phone tapping case has again come into focus after BJP Medak MP Madhavaneni Raghunandan Rao demanded strict action against those responsible. He said the Special Investigation Team should complete the probe at the earliest. He also stated that authorities must send the culprits to jail without delay. His remarks came amid ongoing political debate and public attention on the issue.
Speaking on the phone tapping case, Raghunandan Rao recalled a statement made by former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in the Legislative Assembly in June 2014. He said KCR had then stated that wrongdoers would be sent to jail even if they were sons or daughters. Raghunandan Rao clarified that those words would also apply to KCR himself. He stressed that the law must remain the same for everyone. Meanwhile, he urged the SIT to act quickly and ensure justice.
Later, Raghunandan Rao took part in election campaigning in several wards of the town. He participated in the campaign as part of the Gajwel Pragyapur Municipal Elections. During the campaign, he also criticised the Congress government. He said the Congress had no role in the development of Gajwel. He further stated that former CM KCR named Gajwel, where he contested, as “Gada”. He added that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy named Kodangal as “Kuda”. However, he said there was no change in the economic condition of these constituencies.
The BJP MP also said that Gajwel saw no development during KCR’s tenure. He further alleged that CM Revanth Reddy had not paid attention to Gajwel for the last two years. Meanwhile, Raghunandan Rao criticised those who were attacking the Union Budget. He called such criticism blind. He said people from the same family were making different comments on the budget. He stated that KTR spoke in one direction, while Harish Rao and Kavitha spoke in another.
Explaining his stand, he said the central budget allocated seven high speed trains for South India. Out of these, three high speed trains were allocated for Hyderabad. He questioned whether the critics noticed this. He also said the railway sector received 15 percent more allocation than the previous budget. He further stated that State Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka should examine the budget again. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi allocated Rs. 1300 crores more than before for the development of the state.
