Phone Tapping Case SIT Questions Harish Rao Says CP Sajjanar
Phone Tapping Case | Hyderabad, Jan. 21: Phone Tapping Case developments continued on Tuesday as Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar confirmed that BRS leader Harish Rao was questioned by the SIT.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday night, Sajjanar said the questioning took place under his supervision at Jubilee Hills Police Station.
According to Sajjanar, Harish Rao was allowed to leave early as his son was traveling to the United States.
However, police instructed him not to influence anyone connected to the Phone Tapping Case. Sajjanar also clarified that Harish Rao does not have any stay from the Supreme Court in this matter.
Phone Tapping Case | SIT Probes Role
Meanwhile, the SIT questioned Harish Rao for over seven hours on Tuesday. Officials said the questioning was based on information revealed during the interrogation of former SIB chief Prabhakar Rao and another accused, Sravan Rao, from the previous BRS government period.
Police sources stated that investigators examined Harish Rao’s alleged role in the Phone Tapping Case, especially given his relationship with former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Sajjanar said police may summon Harish Rao again if required for further questioning.
After the questioning, Harish Rao told the media that the notices and inquiry were a political drama orchestrated by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
