Piracy, terrorism interlinked, is biggest security threat to nation says Rajnath

Urging people to stop buying and selling pirated videos or other such stuff, since the money was being used to fund terror-related activities in the country, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said the two were interlinked and together posed a major security threat to the country.

In his inaugural address at the first-ever national workshop on Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights here, Mr Singh said the counterfeit and pirated stuff was not only harming the major industries, but money earned through these fake products was being circulated to fund organised crime and terror-related activities in the country.
