Plenary elects KCR as TRS president unanimously

Hyderabad, Oct.25 (Maxim News): K Chandrasekhar Rao was elected TRS president unanimously during its Plenary at Hitex. Giving his presidential remarks, KCR expressed serious displeasure at the Election Commission for stalling Dalit Bandhu for Huzurabad bypoll. The Chief Minister took serious exception that the EC was crossing its limits and stalling development programs which began already. It is not good for the EC to stop such programs which are against the constitution, KCR remarked.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today reiterated that Dalit Bandhu scheme will be continued after November 4 despite EC stalled it now at the behest of the opposition parties. He slammed EC, the high court and opposition parties for stalling Dalit Bandhu, TRS party public meetings, programs in Huzurabad segment in the name of poll code. Dalit Bandhu like schemes will be started for BCs and other poor sections in the state, he announced amid applause in the TRS Plenary.

The TRS boss also informed that the Dalit Bandhu will be continued after November 4 as the EC can only stall it now. We will continue the scheme for the empowerment of Huzurabad and other four segments in the state with funds allotted, KCR said. He said that the government will spend Rs 1.70 lakh cr for Dalit Bandhu as also similar programs for BCs, MBCs and poor sections in the society. The amount being spent for Dalit Bandhu will be multiplied to Rs 10 lakh cr in future, he hoped.

We get Rs 23 lakh crore in 7 years and spend funds for the welfare all sections and BCs and other sections will get Dalit Bandhu like scheme. Despite the opposition coming in the way of our public meetings and the high court stalling we continue our programs, he said. KCR expressed disappointment at the high court for not allowing the TRS its public meetings planned at Huzurabad for the bypoll on Oct 30. Why the court came in the way is not understood, KCR said and slammed the Opposition for filing the cases against the party’s public meetings in Huzurabad. If not the meetings will be conducted at possible places nearby.

He announced that the TRS party offices are getting completed and ready for opening in all districts soon. He also said that the party will start construction of the TRS office in Delhi as the Centre gave land. For us people are our bosses and their aspirations and demands are our agenda to implement, KCR said. The CM said that they do not have bosses in Delhi like the congress and the BJP.
Earlier, the plenary was conducted to mark 20 years of the TRS, elected KCR as its president unanimously at the HICC here in the city. The key meeting passed seven resolutions giving thanks to KCR as the TRS president, draft of irrigation, rural economy development, agriculture, welfare and others.

Plenary program was conducted on a grand scale to mark the event attended by about 6000 TRS party leaders from the state. The party leaders joined the program for two sessions with sumptuous meals at a lunch break. (Maxim News)
