PM Modi Pays Tribute To The Father Of The Nation On Mahatma Gandhi Death Anniversary

Delhi/Hyderabad, Jan 30 (Maxim News): India is observing the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, today . On January 30, 1948, the Mahatma was shot dead by Nathuram Godse during a prayer meeting at Birla Bhavan (now Gandhi Smriti) in Delhi. This day is observed as Martyrs’ Day across the country.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Speaking on the occasion, Modi said, “On the occasion of his death anniversary, I pay my heartfelt tributes to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Pujya Bapu always emphasized Swadeshi. This is also the cornerstone of our resolve for a developed and self-reliant India. His personality and achievements always inspire our countrymen to follow the path of destiny,” he said on social media ‘X’. (Maxim News)
