Delhi/Hyderabad, Nov 10 (Maxim News): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the 70th birth anniversary celebrations of the current emperor’s father, the fourth king Jigme Singye Wangchuck, as part of his visit to Bhutan. He will also hold talks with Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister Modi will offer prayers azt the sacred relics of Buddha at Tashichho Dzong in Thimphu. He will also participate in the World Peace Prayer Festival organized by the Royal government of Bhutan.
According to the official government statement, Prime Minister Modi’s visit will provide an opportunity to further enhance and strengthen the bilateral partnership between the two countries and share views on mutual regional issues. Several spiritual leaders from India have visited Bhutan and settled there. Prime Minister Modi had previously visited Bhutan in March 2024. Then he received the Order of the Druk Gyalpo, Bhutan’s highest civilian honor. (Maxim News)
