PM Modi to Visit UK and Maldives from July 23–26 to Strengthen Bilateral Ties
Hyderabad, July 20, 2025 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to embark on a high-profile diplomatic tour to the United Kingdom and the Maldives from July 23 to 26, with a focus on bolstering bilateral ties, trade partnerships, and strategic cooperation.
The four-day tour begins with the Prime Minister’s visit to London on July 23 and 24, where he will hold key meetings with newly elected UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. A major highlight of the visit will be the signing of the long-anticipated India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA)—a landmark deal that aims to enhance economic engagement between the two nations.

Maldives Visit for 60th National Day Celebrations
On July 25 and 26, Prime Minister Modi will travel to the Maldives, where he has been invited as the chief guest for the country’s 60th National Day celebrations.
This visit is seen as a gesture of India’s continued support for its maritime neighbor and a reaffirmation of the two nations’ deep-rooted historical, cultural, and strategic ties in the Indian Ocean Region.
