PMAY-G SCHEME First Installment To Be Released Today

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the first installment of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) scheme for 1 lakh beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) programme, a comprehensive initiative aimed at empowering Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs). Launched on Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas 2023, PM-JANMAN underscores the government’s commitment to the Prime Minister’s vision of Antyodaya by focusing on 11 critical interventions across sectors like housing, healthcare, education, sanitation, and livelihood opportunities.

PM-JANMAN: A Multi-pronged Approach to PVTG Welfare

With a budget of Rs 24,000 crore, PM-JANMAN prioritizes saturating PVTG households and habitations with basic amenities like safe housing, clean drinking water, and improved access to healthcare and education. This includes initiatives like providing scholarships for tribal students, building community health centers, and promoting sustainable livelihood programs.

During the virtual event on Monday, Prime Minister Modi will interact with beneficiaries and express his commitment to ensuring the program’s success. As he stated, ‘Empowering our PVTG communities is an essential step towards realizing true Antyodaya. PM-JANMAN is a crucial initiative in this journey, ensuring inclusive development and a brighter future for all.
