Police Apprehended One Ganja Peddler And Seized 10.30 Kgs

Hyderabad, Mar 5 (Maxim News): Based on credible information, the HNEW team had conducted a joint operation with Tukaramgate Police and held (01) Ganja Peddler along with Ganja total wg.10.30 KGs, Hero Splendor Bike, Weighing Machine, Mobile Phone and Net cash Rs.1,210/- from his possession.

The accused, Babhuti Bhushan Palai @ Raju, is a native of the Ganjam District, Odisha. In 2007, he came to Hyderabad for employment to earn his livelihood. Initially, he worked as a laborer at construction sites and later took up a job as a Zomato delivery boy to earn extra income. Eventually, he became a JCB crane driver at a construction site. During his work, he observed that some construction labourers had a habit of consuming Ganja. This led him to the idea of selling Ganja by procuring it from his native place, i.e., Ganjam District, Odisha. He purchased Ganja from one person by name Rahul who is a supplier from Ganjam (Absconding), at Rs.5,000 per kg, and he will sell the Ganja to the needy customers in small sachets and also in bulk like 100 grams, 250 grams, etc. and making easy money and enjoying his lavish lifestyle.

On credible information, i.e., on 03.03.2025, the HNEW team, along with Tukaramgate Police, conducted a joint operation and apprehended Babhuti Bhushan Palai @ Raju in the limits of Tukaramgate Police Station along with Ganja.

The above arrests were made by G.S. Daniel, Inspector, HNEW, and C. Venkata Ramulu, SI of Police and staff of HNEW, along with Maloth Shanker, SHO, and  Kiran Kumar Reddy, SI of Tukaram Gate PS, along with their staff. (Maxim News)
