Hyderabad, March 12 (Maxim News): Madhura Nagar Police apprehended a 19 year old man on Thursday for the brutal murder of a job consultancy owner. The accused, identified as Pollamari Setty Prabhu Kumar, allegedly stabbed Jaggavarapu Shashi Kiran Reddy to death inside his office at Engineers Colony.
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon following a dispute regarding job placement dissatisfaction and salary refunds. Police recovered the murder weapon, a stolen iPhone-15, and four other mobile phones from the suspect near Ramoji Film City.
The victim, who owned Best Group of Services Job Consultancy, suffered 23 stab injuries during the violent encounter. According to the complainant, the accused entered the counseling room to discuss financial grievances before attacking the owner.
The suspect also reportedly stabbed an HR executive on her shoulder when she attempted to intervene during the struggle. Staff members later discovered the owner in a pool of blood and shifted him to a local hospital where he was declared dead.
Technical clues lead to swift apprehension
Law enforcement officials utilized technical surveillance and field intelligence to track the suspect within 24 hours of the crime. The investigation team, led by the Madhura Nagar Inspector, arrested the accused while he was attempting to flee the city.
Charges have been registered under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including murder and murder for gain. The police produced the accused before the honorable court for judicial remand on Thursday morning.
