Police Constable Attempts Suicide In Kothagudem

Kothagudem/Hyderabad, Oct 13 (Maxim News): A police constable, who was suspended from services in a ganja case and working at Burgampahad police station in Kothagudem district, attempted suicide by consuming pesticide on Sunday.

Constable B hukya Sagar recorded a selfie video on his mobile phone holding two police sub-inspectors (SI*(s) and another individual responsible for his act and the video went viral on social media.

In the video, Sagar addressed his wife Ashwini telling her that he consumed pesticide to end his life and asked her to take care of their children. He said in Burgampahad police station, ganja was seized in a case, went missing, he was held responsible and a case was booked against him.

The constable maintained that if a property under the control of a police station goes missing, the concerned SI should be responsible for the property but he was made a scapegoat in the case. Instead of questioning the SI he was booked in the ganja missing case. he alleged.

Sagar alleged that an SI Santhosh, who served at the police station in the past, another SI Raj Kumar now working at the police station and an individual Gonela Nani sold the seized ganja by engaging the local youth.

He also said that the police officials at the police station made calls using his mobile phone for selling the ganja. He said he consumed pesticide as he was wrongly booked in the ganja missing case and was unable to bear the allegation made against him.

It was said that the suspension imposed against the constable, eight months ago, has been revoked recently. Sagar was being treated at a hospital in Hyderabad and his condition was said to be critical. (Maxim News)
