Police Held High-Level Meeting On Pending Issues Pertains To Safe City Project

Hyderabad, May 6 (Maxim News): Several key decisions were made on the pending issues in Safe City project and were addressed in a high-level coordination meeting chaired by the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C V Anand, the nodal officer of the safe city project for tri-commissionerates, here at Hyderabad Police Commissionerate, TSPICCC.

ADG Women Safety, Shikha Goel; CP Rachakonda, D. S. Chauhan; CP Cyberabad, Stephen Ravindra, officials of TSTS, GHMC, and other Govt departments were present.

The meeting discussed several components of the Safe City Project, including the CDEWs – Center for Development and Empowerment of Women, pelican signals, outreach vehicles, CCTVs, Bharosa center, forensic labs, and mobile SHE toilets.

Discussions were held on various timelines related to the project, such as making 26 CDEWs operational by the end of May, addressing connectivity issues in CCTV networks, purchasing equipment for FSL labs and getting them ready by August this year, prioritizing & handling Dial 100 calls pertaining to women and children in distress by trained personnel, and training & deploying volunteers to operate pelican signals.

The current status of buildings that would house the new Bharosa centers of tri-commissioners was reviewed. It was decided to deploy SHE Mobile toilets in dynamic routes across the city and monitor their locations, maintenance, and service from the Command Control Center.

Administrative issues such as projections on recurring costs for sustained maintenance of projects and optimizing human resources, involving women forums of HCSC & SCSC, etc., were discussed at length.

Addl. CP (Crimes & SIT), A.R. Srinivas; Addl.CP Traffic, G. Sudheer Babu; staff officers of the IT cell, and other officials of various Govt departments were present. (Maxim News)
