Police Rescue Drivers Trapped In Cabin Of Truck In Mancherial

Mancherial/Hyderabad, Mar 27 (Maxim News): Police won laurels for rescuing a driver who was trapped in a cab of a truck that rammed into another stationary lorry by struggling for 2 hours NH 363 at Somagudam village in Kasipet mandal early on thursday morning.

Kasipet Sub-Inspector V Praveen Kumar said that Burjith Singh from Madhya Pradesh sustained injuries when he was stuck in the cabin of the truck carrying steel when the vehicle dashed against the lorry, which was parked on the national highway due to breakdown. 

On receiving information about the incident, Praveen and his team rushed to the spot and tried to retrieve Singh, but in vain. They then provided treatment to the driver with the help of the staffers of the medical and health department. The doctors administered saline to Singh in the cabin. Police managed to bring the driver out by cutting the cab into two pieces.

The driver was immediately admitted to a hospital in Bellampalli. His medical condition was learnt to be stable. As a precautionary measure, the police also deployed staffers of the Fire department to prevent the fire from breaking out as the fuel spilled on the road due to the impact of the accident. They blocked traffic on the NH by placing barricades during the rescue operation.  

Motorists and locals praised the police for saving the life of a driver by showing spontaneity
