Police Suspects Four in Gandhi Hospital Rape Case
Hyderabad, Aug.17 (Maxim News): The City police has apprehended four suspects in the sensational rape case that took place in Gandhi Hospital . The Chilkalguda police are interrogating Lab technician of the hospital Uma Maheswar and three others in the case. The clues team id the Police department has also visited the hospital and gathered clues from the area where the victim was found.
Meanwhile, State Women’s Commission Chairperson Sunitha Laxma Reddy reacted on the issue and said that the state government would stand by the victims. She spoke to the hospital superintendent on the issue.
Speaking to media persons later, she said that they would not be able to find out the actual sequence of events unless the victim opens her mouth. She said that she would talk to the victim and find out the facts . She also said that the sister of the victim was yet to be traced by the police. Sunitha said that they would take stern action in the issue and punish the accused in the harshest possible manner.
On the other hand, the superintendent of the hospital Dr. Raja Rao said that they had not received any complaint from anybody about the rape incident. He said that he had received a message from media organizations on Monday afternoon and added that the message was sent to Chilkalguda Police station. He also said that they had constituted an internal committee of the hospital on the issue and added that the police had arrested an accused in the case so far . He made it clear that there was no such incident involving the detention of victims by giving Anaesthetics in the hospital .
Rao said that a total of 189 CC cameras had been installed in the hospital and added that it also has adequate amount of security. He also made it clear that there was no scope for the commitment of the rape on the victims in the hospital cellar as it has a canteen, medical store and dobhi ghat. (Maxim News)
