Political Rise Of Bandi Sanjay From Corporator To Union Minister

Hyderabad, June 9 (Maxim News): Both senior BJP leaders G.Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay from Telangana got cabinet posts in the newly formed NDA government at the Center led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the third time.

Bandi Sanjay has won for the second time from Karimnagar in the recent parliamentary elections.  Bandi Sanjay served as BJ state chief.  While he was the president, he traveled throughout the state and worked hard to strengthen the party.  It can be said that Bandi Sanjay played a vital role in making the Delhi Party known in the Galligally of Telangana.  On the other hand, he fought tirelessly against corruption and anti-people policies in the BRS government.  Due to this, Bandi Sanjay got a craze at the national level.

Bandi Sanjay was born on July 11, 1971 in Karimnagar, B.Narsaiah and Shakuntala Bandi are Sanjay’s parents.  Bandi Sanjay ‘s father worked as a teacher in a government school.  Bandi Sanjay studied at Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Karimnagar.  He joined the Rashtriya SwayamSevak Sangh at the age of 12. He worked in RSS from the basic level as Khandan Nayak and Mukhya Shikshak.  College education also went on in Karimnagar.  After that, in 2014, he obtained his Master’s degree in Public Administration from Madurai Kamaraj University, Tamil Nadu.

Bandi Sanjay’s political career started from his student days.  He joined the RSS atg the age of 12.  He joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad during his college days.  Bandi Sanjay was working as ABVP karimnagar town president at that time. He also worked as ABVP in-charge of several states.  On the other hand, he held many key responsibilities in the BJYM, served as Director of Karimnagar Co-operative urban Bank from 1994-2003, in 1996 Bandi Sanjay participated in the Ratha Yatra organised by former Union Minister L.K Advani, Bandi Sanjay participated in Advani’s yatra for 35 days.

In 2005, he was elected as a BJP corporator from the 48th division of Karimnagar town.  He represented as corporator from 2005 to 2019.  In 2019, he resigned from the post of corporator after winning from the Karimnagar Parliamentary seat.  Bandi Sanjay contested from Karimnagar assembly seat in 2014 and 2018 elections and was defeated.  In April 2019 Parliamentary elections, Bandi Sanjay contested as a BJP candidate from Karimnagar Parliamentary seat and won.

Bandi Sanjay was appointed as BJP Telangana State President on March 11, 2020 by that party.  Bandi Sanjay was instrumental in bringing momentum to the BJP in Telangana.  But, as part of the organizational changes, the BJP leadership handed over the post of Telangana state president to Kishan Reddy.  After that, he is working as the National Secretary of the party from 2023.  The MP once again won the election in 2024.  At present, the people of Karimnagar and the BJP leaders of the state are expressing joy as they got a place in the Union Cabinet.
