Polling Percentage Should Increase In The Urban Areas: Vikas Raj

Hyderabad, Nov 30 (Maxim News): Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vikas Raj said that polling is going on peacefully across the state. Even though there were sporadic clashes here and there, the police said they were controlling it.

He spoke to the media in Hyderabad on the polling pattern of the Telangana Assembly Elections (TS Assembly Elections) 2023.

Except for minor incidents at some places, polling is going on peacefully across the state. There is a good response from voters. As problems arose in EVMs there were one or two places, new ones were changed. Polling percentage is good in rural areas.

However, the polling percentage still needs to increase in urban areas. Elderly and disabled people are coming to exercise their right to vote. Apart from the voter card, we are allowing 12 identity cards like Aadhaar, PAN etc. We hope that the speed of polling will increase, he added.  (Maxim News)
