Ponnam Urges CS To Send Central Team To Karimnagar

Hyderabad, April 30 (Maxim News): TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar wrote a letter to Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and said him to arrange tour of central team to Karimnagar in order to assess loss caused to the district including its farmers due to COVID 19 pandemic.

In his letter to Prabhakar said that the strict enforcement of the lockdown in Karimagar was causing several problems to the farmers and the general public of the district. He alleged that the statement of the chief minister of the state KCR that they would not allow any farmer to incur losses was not being implemented at any place in the district. He also told the CS that the produce of the farmers was completely damaged due to recent untimely rains in the district and added that the millers of the district were not coming forward to buy the produce by citing chaff reduction and moisture.

He also told the CS that the thriving granite industry of the district had come to a standstill leaving thousands workers jobless due to the ongoing lockdown. (Maxim News)
