Poor Built Huts In The Govt Land Removed

Ranga Reddy/Hyderabad, Jan 23 (Maxim News): Thousands of huts which has come up on the government land in Survey No. 215 to 224 in Ravi Narayana Reddy Colony, Pedda Amberpat Municipality, Kuntluru has been removed.

The poor people built huts under the CPI party which is friendly to the ruling BRS party headed by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. More than 4000 huts were built on government land in one day. It is said that they have been waiting for double-bedroom houses for the last eight years, but they have not been given them, so they have to put up huts in a situation where there is nothing else. They say that they are having trouble paying the rent in the rented houses, that is why they have put up huts.

Tension arose there as the police and revenue officials stopped those who had put up the huts. Revenue officials say that no one should pitch huts on government land without permission. It is advised to immediately remove the huts and leave from there. Otherwise, he warned that legal action will be taken

On the other hand, the local CPI leaders say that the land from survey number 215 to 224 does not belong to the government and they also have evidence. They are demanding the state government allocate house sites for the poor in Bhudan lands which are about 100 acres. (Maxim News)
