Hyderabad, May 28 (Maxim News): The incident of desecrating Jawaharlal Nehru Journalist MAC Housing Society Ltd caution board having supreme courts legal reference by the land grabbers and mafia at Pet Basheerabad is a cause of concern from where this mafia got guts to do such thing when such act is a cognizable act and attracts action against the encroachers.

While the encroachers are talking loudly about respecting the legal process, they resorted to disrespecting the judiciary by desecrating the caution board having court’s ruling.

However, the CEO of the Society Vamshi and senior member of the society Syed Fazil Hussain Pervez said that 70 acres of land (38 acres at Pet Basheerabad and 32 acres at Nizampet) has been allotted to 1100 families of the Journalist by the then combined Andhra Pradesh government under late Chief Minister Dr. Y.S. Rajshekhara Reddy and the Journalist have paid Rs. 12.33 crores land value.

Due to some litigation, the matter went to the Supreme Court, and in the year 2022, the Supreme Court has given judgement in favour of Journalists and even directed the government to transfer the land.

At the time of allotment there were no land encroachment but suddenly during the last 10 years, the land grabbers, mafias presence has increased and now they have come to the land to the Journalist in presence of police, revenue and HMDA officials and even threatening to the Police and the government officials.

However, the issue is under the notice of the Police as well as the government officials and they are fully aware and acquainted with the people behind these land grabbers and mafia. This can help police crack the whip against the encroachers at this primary stage itself.

The society members and office bearers have full faith and hope the society leaders will take the matter seriously and report the “unwholesome incident” to authorities at the helm of affairs in the interest of the members. (Maxim News)
