President Appoints Governors For Five States

New Delhi, Sept.1 (Maxim News): In a reshuffle on Sunday, the President today announced new Governors for five States in the country.

According to an official communique, Tamil Nadu State BJP chief Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan has been appointed Governor of Telangana State replacing ESL Narasimhan. Senior BJP leader and former Union minister Bandaru Dattatraya replaces Kalraj Mishra in Himachal Pradesh. Mishra has been transferred to Rajasthan replacing Kalyan Singh as new Governor. Bhagat Singh Koshyari has been appointed new Governor of Maharashtra shunting out Vidyasagar Rao.

In Kerala, Arif Mohammed Khan replaces P. Sathasivam as the new Governor. The appointments take effect from the dates the new governors take charge of their respective offices. (Maxim News)
