Presidential election : Rajnath Singh, Venkaiah Naidu meets Sonia Gandhi: Discussions Failed

Central ministers Rajnath Singh, and Venkaiah Naidu meets Congress Vice President Sonia Gandhi at her house to discuss on Congress support in Presidential elections.

But they could not come to a single opinion as Sonia Gandhi denied to extend support without knowing the name of the candidate. BJP is making efforts for unanimous elections for which a 3-membered- committee is also formed.

Committee has had discussions with BSP, NCP and CPM parties so far which denied to extend support unless they know the names of the candidates. Sonia Gandhi also made it very clear that they will extend support only after knowing the names.
