Hyderabad, Nov. 27 (Maxim News) : The Department of Biomedical Engineering, University College of Engineering (Autonomous), Osmania University, inaugurated its newly established Committee Room today, strengthening the department’s academic and research infrastructure.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kumar Molugaram, formally opened the facility and used the occasion to highlight the department’s growing academic and research profile.

He emphasized that modern, dedicated spaces such as the Committee Room are essential for advancing high-quality teaching, enabling focused research discussions, and supporting collaborative initiatives across emerging areas of biomedical engineering.

Prof. Kumar noted that improved physical infrastructure directly contributes to stronger academic planning, more effective research coordination, and a more conducive environment for innovation.

He stressed that the new Committee Room will play a central role in facilitating faculty deliberations, curriculum development, research review meetings, and student-related academic decision-making—thereby strengthening the department’s internal governance and academic outcomes.

The inauguration was attended by Prof. P. Chandra Sekhar, Principal, and Prof. B. Mangu, Vice Principal, University College of Engineering, along with faculty members and staff of the department.
