Prophet Muhammad Insulted in Maharashtra: AIMIM Demands Strict Action

Aurangabad/Hyderabad, Aug 17 (Maxim News): Tension erupted in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad city on Friday when a group of Muslims gathered in front of a police station and demanded action against a Hindu religious leader who made objectionable remarks glorifying the Prophet of Islam. Muslims gathered in large numbers outside the City Chowk police station and demanded action against Ramgiri Maharaj. He alleged that the Hindu leader had made insulting remarks against the Prophet and Islam.

Inspector Nirmala Pardesi explained to the Muslims and appealed to them to remain peaceful. The lady inspector said that she would take strict action in this regard. Ramgiri Maharaj while talking to a news channel said that Hindus should be vigilant, I have said what I should have said and I stand by my statement and I am ready to bear the consequences.

Former MP of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Imtiaz Jalil wrote a letter to the City Police Commissioner demanding strict action against Ramgiri Maharaj. Action should be taken as soon as possible against Ramgiri who gave a controversial statement against it. (Maxim News)
