‘Pushpa’ is a slap on the face of Bollywood stars: KRK

Hyderabad: The entire nation is going crazy about the latest Telugu original film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ starring Icon Star Allu Arjun and National Crush Rashmika Mandanna as the leads, with superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a special number.

From fans to celebrities like Neha Kakkar, Sophie Choudry, David Warner, Suresh Raina, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja, everyone is imitating the actors, the movie’s famous dialogues and superhit songs in their social media profiles. The film has made over 100 crore business in the Hindi circuit as well.

Now, critic and trade analyst Kamal R Khan took to his Twitter handle to talk about how the Telugu film ‘Pushpa’ is a “slap on the face of Bollywood stars”. He tweeted on Thursday, “Film #Pushpa has done approx ₹100Cr business in Hindi circuit. Huge congratulations to @alluarjun for such a great achievement! It’s a slap on the face of Bollywood stars (sic).”

In another tweet, he added, “Film #Pushpa has become a goldmine for Hindi circuit distributor Manish!” The controversial KRK added that the biggest Bollywood actors find it so hard to even rake in Rs 25 crore but a Telugu dub film has easily made Rs 100 crore in the Hindi film industry. According to him, this is because the public has begun “hating the Bollywood industry”.

In subsequent tweets, he added, “Now #KanganaRanaut wants to work in south films. While she has said on national TV that no actress gets any film without making somebody happy. Now question is this, if she will work in south films, then will she make someone happy to get the film there?(sic).”
